Well, my subs have dual 2-ohm voice coils...and the way you indicated the connections are correct...so that would mean that I am wired at 4-ohms? If yes, would it be better for me if i were to wire it at 2-ohms (I have a tantrum 1200.1 amp)?...also, if a picture of the connections on the amp side would help, I can get a picture of it...thanks man..

with them being 2 ohm coils, if they're wired with both + wires together and both - wires together on the amp, then you're at 2 ohms total which is correct. you don't see many 2 ohm speakers.
I doubt that whole piece is a sub enclosure. More like a cover that attaches on front of the box to make it look cleaner and not see a mess of wires and amps.
I'm positive it is impossible to wire two DVC 2-ohm subs at 4ohms. You have a choice between 8ohms, 2ohms, and .5ohms. .5ohms will blow up your amp, so avoid that one. So your choice is between 8 ohms and 2ohms, i'd recommend two.
Here's my setup. Sorry for the crappy quality. They're pics from my cell phone so they came out kinda blurry. I'm running 2 audiobahn awt12se subs and 1 1000W nitro amp with a 2 farad capacitor. Here's my pix...
