Question Battery Replacement

I was just wondering how long until you guys replaced your civic's battery? My civic hit the 5 year mark and I'm still running strong off of the original battery, so yeah I think it's time to replace it with a new one . Also, if anyone has any recommendations on what to get that would be appreciated . To remove this ad, register today for free or log in if already registered!

I'm running the stock battery as well, '01 LX. Been through an alternator with a bad voltage regulator and it's still going strong

Re: Battery Replacement

Weird. I was looking for replacement suggestions and this thread came up. Looks like my stock battery is conking out. I deep discharged it once a couple weeks ago, and it was coldish this morning (55F) and it took a little longer than usual to start. Figured it's about timem to replace it.

Re: Battery Replacement

if you want stock size, its group51. its a small battery. and stay away from optima, theyre trash. a lead acid battery works best. you can get higher rated group51 from the dealer or auto parts store with 500cca instead of the stock 420.
