2002 ex civic window problem.

Ok the passenger window started going up slowly. It sounded like it would stop working someday soon and yes it did.. waited for a big *** down pour.

my plain was to take the motor out a try to clean the inside like I had to in my 97..

but it was stuck down so it would have been a pain to get out.

so I hard wired a old battery to see if I could get it to go up that way. it worked!! it worked so good that the window zipped up faster then it has ever in the past.

it started working again after messing with it and worked for 2 weeks after that.

Then stopped going up again. I took the switches apart and cleaned everything with no luck.. I had to hard wire it again.

the window will go down with the passenger switch but not up.. the driver side switch cant even do that.

anyone have a pinout for the switches so I can try to test?

Re: 2002 ex civic window problem.

fixed....

The Blue/wht wire that travels from one door to other showed only 7v.

After running a temporary wire from door to door it all worked.

Turned out the wire broke where the driver side wiring passed through the door into car , by the hood latch.

thanks for the schematics!

Re: 2002 ex civic window problem.

The switches get power just fine.. the switches don't control battery + they control battery -
Wires blue/red and blue/white look for ground to work up and down . Pushing button completes a ground.

Blue red is window up... ground blue/white is down..

The switches control the - ground.. its not hot so no fuse will pop... its was not getting good ground from main switch to passenger door in my case. Driver door switch controls ground first
In my case the wire feeding the - from main switch to passenger door (blu-wht) was open (cut)
