help! honda civic 2003 coupe

I have a honda coupe 2003 that i just bought. It comes with a keyless entry remote, but it is not working as it should be. It only locks or unlocks the passenger side door. I need to open by key the driver side door coz the remote wont unlock it. Once unlock thats the only time i can use the remote to unlock or lock the passengers side. If i dont unlock manually the drivers side door,it wouldnt unlock or lock the pax side door. How do i fix this and what seems to be the problem?
Thanks in advance for you help.

Re: help! honda civic 2003 coupe

2 wires operate the power lock actuator.

Unplug the connector and stick a test light in those 2 wires and see if it lights up when you push the power lock buttons.

Stupid simple test light: #194 bulb.
Simply unbend the wires on this and stick them in the connector for the lock actuator

If it lights up when you push the power lock button, then the actuator must be bad.
