Question about wheels/tires

I have a 02 civic ex which stock oem rims are 185/65R15. I want to order a set of new wheels for the summer. The wheels I'm looking at say they recommend a 195/60R15 tire. Will i have any issues doing this????

Re: Question about wheels/tires

No issues. The 185 is just slightly skinner then the 195.

Re: Question about wheels/tires

will it have any effect on anything else such as MPG, performance etc? And no chance of scraping when turning? the 185-195 is a bigger tire right? and the 65-60 makes it fatter?

Re: Question about wheels/tires

It may have a slight effect on MPG but it depends what kind of tire you get. If you get a more performance tire then your mpg will hurt a little. It's not that big of an increase in size. No chances of scrapping, 195 isn't wide enough and your not lowered. The 195 is wider then the 185 but not by much. I run a 205 and some guys run 215. The 60 and 65 is the aspect ratio which is a ratio of the width and height of the sidewall. The 60 will have a smaller sidewall but not by much because the tire width is greater.

Use this calculator to see the difference in sizes. Your speedo will be off slightly.
