Dezod Front pads fitting issue!need help.

Hello I have a 2004ex. A whyll back i bought some dezod front pads.I was going to use them on the circuit but i ran in some
problem getting them in the caliper!
1.width of the dezod pads is 1mm larger, i would have to file them off.
2.Pad surface is almost 1cm smaller than my stock pads.
3.Sinds the pads are smaller the clips on the pad comes higher, this clip will hit the clips in the caliper, making it impossible
to push in.
4.mailed paul @ dezod said had no problem before!

Does anyone has an idea?thx

Dezod left - Stock right

Wow hmmm... from the pics it looks like they are totally different. I dunno, cant really see anything that sticks out from those pics. Can you get some wider shots of the pad sitting in the caliper?

Re: Dezod Front pads fitting issue!need help.

Hey triz,

here are some better pics i hope!

the caliper.

Stock outside pads between the clips like they should.

Stock inside pads between clips and the clip on the pad is underneed the caliper clips.

Dezod outside pads are just 1mm wider not going between the caliper clips.

Dezod inside pads not going in because the height of the pad is smaller!
this makes the clip on the pad hit the caliper clip.

I dunno man.... I think dezod needs to see these pics and maybe he can see something I'm missing. I've only messed with the brakes a few times and had no problems, but never bought dezod pads.

Him and I have already discussed this and the conclusion is that apparently his UKDM Civic has different braking components than the USDM Civics. He has rear discs as a default, which we do not. I feel he may use our RSX or Civic Si system.

He purchased these back in 2007 too....

Note he is in Belguim

Re: Dezod Front pads fitting issue!need help.

looks like they wont fit. there are quite a few differences just between 01-05 civic models, im having to resort to acura parts for some items that do not fit and i have usdm civic. im sure the euro civics have even more parts that are different. but dont force something that wont fit the way its supposed to esp with brake pads.
