So my wife's car, Hyundai Tiburon, has a seized right brake caliper. I was told that I would need to replace both rear calipers and if I didn't the brake pressure would become unbalanced and cause uneven brake pressure among the caliper pistons. Is this true? Do I really need to replace both brake calipers? The other rear brake caliper is working perfectly fine. The caliper seized because the previous owner of the car didn't have the car inspected often and the brake caliper piston boot was completely ripped off! Leaving the piston now completely rusted and will not move in or out of the caliper.
