Loping hardcore

I RECENTLY PURCHASED MY 94 from a guy who had no idea what the hell he was doing, he had only had it for like a week, anyways, when you first turn it on it has this horrible lope to about 2500 rpm, initially i started disconnecting vacuum hoses trying to find a leak , second are started checking the bolts around the valve cover when i found out i had a very small oil leak out of the valve cover gasket and that a bolt was loose, tightend that up no change. I really dont feel like ripping this engine out and looking to see if its a cam in there so im wondering if anyone has ever put a bigger cam in there civic and what did it sound like To remove this ad, register today for free or log in if already registered!

Re: Loping hardcore

No A bigger cam on a 16 valve will not make it lope. Unless you have a huge cam i would be checking something else. Is the check engine light on sometimes your knock sensor will tell you if its something seriouse.
