Re: Who wants a JDMFabtech Intake Mani? Steve and I do! - Serious Interest Only
i like the box, gets pretty good gas mileage for a brick with wheels and we can throw all kinds of crap in it and still have room to drive the thing. should have seen it when we went down to NOPI in 06. lets just say it was the "pack mule" for the trip
it's black and i convinced her to get gold Rota D2s in a 17x8 setup. haven't decided on the offset yet, and she's torn between a full body kit and a lip kit that is hard to find, but she loves the way it looks. my only requirement either way was abs plastic, urethane, or the flexible fiberglass (i think it's called Duraflex or something) in case she curbs it. She doesn't plan to lower it just yet so i think she'll still have enough ground clearance all around. and the doesn't want air or i'd be hitting the guys up at AirRunner with a quickness
edit: sorry for the threadjack guys, now back to your regularly scheduled topic.

LOL, we call that a "racially inflammatory" statement Steve. Besides, it's a great excuse for us military guys and gals to go on forced savings programs!

I have a question about the intake manifold....How does this affect evap setup? Are all stock hookup's going to work..ie...vacuum, sensor, & fuel?
I really wanna get this thing it's so sweat! How much exactly shipped we talkin about? I'm thinking I can get this paid for by the end of the month.....I need more power!

Back when I was testing all kinds of ideas I found that as long as all the sensors are used and there were no vaccuum leaks the computer really didnt seem to mind. Realistically anyone buying one of these should have some way of making fuel corrections anyways so there should be no issues whatsoever from a tuning standpoint.
From what justin/boiler has told me in person, Gerry is a perfectionist and I think it shows in his work because those manifolds that he makes are truly a thing of beauty. So you probably wont have to worry about anything with the evap setup.

I'm pretty sure he only puts one vac port on them which is why we need a vac mani. As long as you have one of those, you should be fine as you can plug the evap line into the vac mani.
I'm going to swap out the oil pan tonight, as I think the oil spraying onto my DP was causing that big cloud of smoke - not the exhaust feed on the evap system. Gonna hook it back up and I'll post the results tomorrow.
