Re: Who wants a JDMFabtech Intake Mani? Steve and I do! - Serious Interest Only
I know Clint wanted some pictures so I snapped a few with my phone. All of the parts will be finished tomorrow if everything goes according to plan, hehe. The plenum inlets didnt photograph very well but there is a nice radius on them. In the pic it almost looks as if it has a chamfered edge. The last pic is of the cnc cutting in the o-ring grooves. I'll take some more pictures with a good camera once I get everything all cleaned up prior to fitment.

Gerry....what is functionally different between this one and mine? I know you're trying to make it fit better and easier to make, but what else is going on inside it?
PS.... i did some more work on george's manifold. I'll send you some pics and measurements.

It's made with extra JDM Justin. Gerry is wearing a Mugen hat and t-shirt when he makes them so it has the power of JDM transferred to it during the fab. Don't argue, it's magic.
Thanks for the pics Gerry!!

Well Justin, Its not really changing that much. The radius inside the plenum is the same as the velocity stacks I used in your manifold. We made this piece out of 1/2" and machined some of the middle out for lightening. It makes for much less welding and easier fitment. I also moved the runner inlets off the horizontal centerline to make for a little better hood clearance and hopefully better clearance with the a/c, p/s hoses. Its dropping down to about 1/2" higher than factory instead of almost 2". The velocity stacks I used on your manifold wouldnt allow me to do that before. I actually think with the way the air enters the plenum, moving them up in the plenum may be beneficial but I dont really think there will be much difference though.

Got Clint's manifold a good part of the way done tonight. I'll have the two topmounts all set by the weekend, the N/A manifold will be the first of next week.
