Re: Who wants a JDMFabtech Intake Mani? Steve and I do! - Serious Interest Only
You'd do better without it more than likely. Without good traction you'll fry the tires or bog out of the hole. I had one set up on my AEM and as soon as I let the clutch out the turbo hit full boost and blew the tires off. It was even worse when I had the boost timing retard feature enabled. You'll be better off learning the car, it will only take a handfull of runs. 2 step is great for the awd/rwd crowd, or fwd guys with race setups. It takes the guess work out of the lauch rpm but it creates more traction problems than its worth. Reason being is if you have your foot to the floor with the 2 step, as soon as it turns off the turbo spools like a mofo. Even if you dont have it to the floor and let it hit the target rpm its hard to get a feel for throttle position. I tryed and tryed and I'm fairly experienced and I did better than the computer every time.

Well the 2step is almost infinitely adjustable on the AEM EMS, and if programmed properly, you can get great launches every time. It needs to be worked out to accomodate your driving style and turbo system for optimum results. Obviously launching on 8 PSI or even 5 PSI can be insult to injury if you do not have the means of keeping the power to the ground.

Started the N/A manifold. I'm having some extra parts made at my expense to speed up the delivery time. I'd still need the 50% deposit or payment in full before assembly. $875 shipped takes the F/I version away.

You'll get the first half from me when I get home from work tonight Gerry. Steve will be another week or so, but this money is burning a hole in my pocket so its coming to you!

There's a good chance that I'm not going to answer your PM.
