Ditch that fuel system and listen to the messages above. PCS XFC or AEM F/IC + srt 4 injectors and call it a day. If you have the dough get Kpro or AEM EMS. To remove this ad, register today for free or log in if already registered!

Re: srt-4 injectors

And yes the SRT-4s drop right into the stock rail, you just use spacers as they are longer and you either have to mod the stock clips or use the Dodge SRT-4 clips. Junkyard for used, dezod.com for new. I just ordered a set (of clips) from Dezod.

Re: srt-4 injectors

Cool, but how much does the PCS XFC or AEM F/IC run price wise. I saw the AEM for about $2k tell me thats not right. I already dropped about $3500 dealing with the turbo altogether. Its a 01 lx coupe and with this kit I'm putting out 146 whp and 136 torque @ 6 or 7 psi. I heard I can get more horse if this thing was better tuned. I see alot of you guys getting well over 200 whp but I'm assuming some of you have had the motor beefed up. I can keep up with my fiance's 02 tl typs-s (260 hp) but I need to do much better than that. lol

Re: srt-4 injectors

PCS XFC is about $500 +100 for pnp harness AEM F/IC is about $400 + 200 (I believe) for pnp harness. AEM EMS range from $1400-$1800 but their's a member selling for $900 in the for sale section which is a steal. I'd buy that but I'm low on funds at the moment. kpro is about $1200 but you'll need an RSx ecu. I've seen ppl with the same kit you have make about 160-180whp on the average. I have an emanage for sale that id let go for 100 bucks if you want it. It's not the best but it will perform better than the tsi fuel sytem.

Re: srt-4 injectors

Does that emanage work in conjunction with the srt-4 injectors? This whole thing is a headache. I'm still waiting for them to ship a new acuator (spelling)... since mine broke off. This seems like a waste of time and money. Another issue is the car smokes excessively. People always tell me there's a lot of smoke. Is this because I have a straight pipe no catalytic converter? I can even take take out my brothers prelude, pretty close and that runs like 14.9's. Its that v-tech kickin my azz.

Re: srt-4 injectors

Emanage does not do a good job controlling idle with srt4's but it can work with trial and error. You probably don't want anymore headaches though but I'm just throwing that out there. I'm curious to know your air/fuel ratios. You're car should not be smoking excessively honestly with no cat or with one. Something is not right and I'd try to find the problem asap. Do you have a wideband?

Re: srt-4 injectors

No wide band and the crazy thing is I checked my coolant and it was damn near dry. My gauge was all the way on hot. This particular kit has oil and water lines so I think its somehow burning throw the turbo if that makes sense. Its white smoke sometimes excessive which I heard is coolant. I need to get air fuel ratio gauge along with a boost gauge. The fuel injector controller box displays boost and has the built in turbo timer which works on and off and sometimes shuts off after 10 seconds even though I have it set for 1min20sec..

Re: srt-4 injectors

U know what I just came back from the dealer and they said thats what it was because is coolant was shooting up from the radiator, but how the hell could that have happened. I wasn't overboosting or anything. I thought these motors could handle up to 7 psi stock. What do you recommend?? They said since that has to be done to also replace timing belt and water pump which makes sense. I'm looking @ over $1200 dealer price. With the turbo u think I should get a performance timing belt or anything??

Re: srt-4 injectors

Fuck that. How many miles are on the car? You can jerk the head and replace the gasket yourself in about 3 hours. Unless you're pushing over 80K on the dial, I wouldn't worry about changing out the pump and belt. Our rotating assembly can handle about 9 psi before things get dodgy. The head gasket can blow at less than 4 psi. Boost increases the chances of it blowing. HG is the most common issue.

Re: srt-4 injectors

The body almost 200K, 2nd motor almost 100k I threw a rod @ about 96k the first time around. That was about 3 years ago. My brother has all the tools but he's unreliable. Shit me and my friend are the ones who put the turbo on. Then I took it to the shop to get it cleaned up. So what can be done about the head gasket if this is a common problem. I don't know enough about this ish. Is there a stronger 1 available??

Re: srt-4 injectors

Detonation causes blown headgaskets so I'm positive its a tuning issue. Pick up some ARP head studs if you have not already. The OEM head gasket is sufficient, however I've heard of Cometic being thrown around so contact dezod. You def def def need to get a better fuel system though. PS forget the dealer and find a cheaper shop. You can probably source the parts yourself so you save a bit. Good luck man and happy boosting.

Re: srt-4 injectors

Alright so I took my car to a shop that put in my trans and motor in, due to the set up they are afarid to touch it. They did say the car is burning oil and coolant and the temperature gauge rises to the H, even thought there coolant in there. I'm hearing different things can anybody here knowing our cars specifically know what his can be??? Now there is a motor with 15k miles for $700. I think I should start from scratch. Also I tracked down some SRT-4 injectors witk 16k miles for $200. Is this a good deal. Please advise.

Re: srt-4 injectors

Id say pull the head, replace the gasket, crank that boost, run it till it blows, then put that new motor in. See how long it will run on 15-20 psi.
