Mmmm mmm good! Hot-crossed turbo from the oven!

Now everybody loves stuff hot and fresh from the oven. Biscuits, pies, cookies, special brownies, and so on. I like these things too, although I'm not allowed to eat those brownies anymore. Well hello there Mr. Snail. You look all heavy, dingy, and slow. How do you make Civics go so bloody fast? You say your name is Garrett? Say it ain't so! You're looking a little blue though. Is it because you're afraid of getting all rusty and crappified in Speedfoos' shiny engine bay? No problemo my little Nino. We're just gonna hang you up here in 'foos' massive 1/2-car British garage and give you a little makeover. And your friends too. We wouldn't anybody feeling left out. Nice. We're all prepped up and ready to go. It's time for a little DEI Black Silicone treatment. No rusty nails for 'foos. Whoops. He said that out loud. No rusty Snails for 'foos. Rust=bad. Even cast iron doesn't look nice when its all rusty. Bam!! They won't hate you because you're black, they'll hate you because you're beautiful. Wait, wait, lets take a shot of your good side. The hot side.

Mmmmm hmmmm. If you could ever find a time to call a snail "sexy" then this is it. Here's a recipe that's sure to attract the ladies.

1 - Hot side of a Garrett GT3071R ball-bearing turbo
1 - can of black DEI silicone paint
1 - roll of blue masking tape
1 - container of multi-purpose lock wire
1 - oven of dimunitive British size
**Can substitute normal US-style oven

Apply tape and wire to turbo hot side. Apply paint. Bake in tiny British oven at 250 C for 45 minutes. Don't tell wife you're cooking auto parts again.

Voila!!!

Looks good enough to eat. Let cool and then use equal parts Gorilla glue, JB Weld, and duct tape to re-assemble turbo. Serve with 15 psi of boost, 93 octane gas, and big honkin' right foot!

DEI's high-temp silicone exhaust coating. Great stuff. You should be able to get it at Summit. Its like 10 buck a can or something like that.

Heh, it's funny you say to get summit parts all the time. You should ask them to sponsor you cuz you plug them all the time anyway! Ha ha, although they might just give you a free keychain or something for advertising for them.

I might. I've already got about 100 of their damn stickers and a hat from ordering so many parts from this build. IMO, they need some help on the import section of their catalog. We like more than just clutches, NOS, PIAA fogs, and seats.
