Because a power goal is relevant. You wouldn't buy a gt30 for a setup you only want to make 250 whp on. Its not necessary. It isn't a matter of bare minimum from my standpoint, its a matter of necessity and use. Sure you'll make more power at lower boost levels if the head can flow more cfm, no quesiton about it. But the head ports themselves aren't the first place you run across a limiting restriction. That's my point. If someone wants to make say 350 or less horsepower, it isn't a necessity. I wouldn't ponder buying 1,000cc injectors, I'd have no use for them, it would be overkill and unnecessary. Its spending money just for the sake of spending money. That's what I was referring to about the gt30 turbo.
You had bugged me for a GT30 quotes and then ended up buying one used from a friend and somehow it backfired on you.

First off, I never bought a gt30 turbo. I'm still using the same turbo I've been using. What backfired? What are you talking about? And what does me buying or not buying a gt30 have to do with the necessity of portwork on a head?
If you have a personal problem, keep it off the board. Everything you just said has absolutely nothing to do with this discussion. You're supposed to be a site vendor and this is how you conduct yourself? Great for business!
I gotta say that this thread was unbelievable to say the least. Both Andyman and Dezod, your arguments could be described like a catholic arguing with a christian about religious beliefs. Your both on the same track and even though Im a novice or even a complete amateur in the sense, I followed both of your arguments closely and I give both of you credit because I think both of you are credible enough to discuss and debate about these types of topics. However, I think this forum is notorious for debates that turn into straight out cut-throat arguments. So let me end by saying, this debate was an excellent debate by both sides and ended up getting sloppy, thats how forums are because we dont get to read facial expressions or feelings at all. Personally, I agree with both of your arguments and I think its just a judgement call that should be made by the end user.

You're correct. I did step over the line, however I feel your snide comments on here and on the other thread attempting to downplay Hani's power where uncalled for. Let him have his glory, despite the fact of not even being able to enjoy the car due some entensive show related mods....So, the combination lead to my ill fated, late night judgement to call you on that. As stated previously, I have no bad blood between us. What happened, happend. Simple as that! I just feel some of your comments where uncalled for, and I made a poor decision to sling mud back.
On an end note, we are all human and make mistakes.

It's all good, man. Had nothing to do with downplaying anything, just my experience. This is why I was trying to leave things open ended for discussion. The only true way to ever really compare two cars is on the same dyno, the same day. Props to him for the work he's done and power he's achieved.
This is an awesome thread, Andyman and Dezod, you guys are class acts. I wish threads could be run like this, you really represented the OG's of 7thgencivic.com. Great stuff, keep up the great threads.
Glad to see this is turning out nicely in the end. Ditto on JBrown's comments, you guys are valued on this forum for your advice and experience and us plebes would hate to see you at each other's throats. I know I'm guilty of being a cheap bastard when it comes to building my car up - although I prefer the term 'thrifty'.
Paul I haven't forgotten about the list of things I will be getting from you, but I'll address them in email rather than hijacking this thread. I'm still doing research as I don't want to ask uniformed questions, and am still away from home on business anyway.

There's a good chance that I'm not going to answer your PM.
