I've got a 2002 Si with a little over 100K miles on it, and the suspension (bushings/shocks etc) is shot. For tires I switch between stock 15" and 205 50 16 in the summer.
I need to rebuild the suspension, and would like to drop the car maybe an inch or inch and a half, and get better damping - I think the car stock has too much high speed damping, and not enough low speed damping.
Any suggestions on what kind of suspension to fit? I'm not looking for a rock crusher ride, nor do I want to put new sway bars on the car. I drive the car almost entirely on the street, fairly hard, with a track day once in a great while. Given the age of the car, I don't want to drop a ton of $ on this. I'm hoping to keep it down to $800 for the springs/dampers.
TIA.
