To Everyone W/Full Coilovers READ PLEASE HELP

OK this is for everyone with full coilovers..So since i cant be happy with the drops of just springs i think im just gonna get full coilovers but wanted to see what u guys thought.. I was looking at the tein basics or the megans?? And wanted to get some opions... Im looking for a 1 finger gap or half of finger gap on an 02 lx with 205/40/17..This is my DD and will not be raced or drove hard at all as i baby it but am wanting a pretty low stance.....thats why i was considering the megans cause there about 300 dollars cheaper...i know if i was gonna race it or take it to the track i would need something beter than megans...so here my question..Should i go with megans or spend the extra 300 and get tein basics???thanx for all the input.. IMO both are junk .. spend 300 more on top of the basics and get KW or eibach

the basics will be more than enough for a DD man. some people forget that money doesn't grow on trees for most of us. i would avoid the Megans though, unless they're free or have a great discount.

Re: To Everyone W/Full Coilovers READ PLEASE HELP

205/40/17 thats not the proper tire size for 7th gen. specially your car is lowered. it should be 215//45/17.

Re: To Everyone W/Full Coilovers READ PLEASE HELP

I have the Tein Basics, I don't know why everyone is calling them junk. I found my set for 890 bucks from a shop which isn't around anymore. I love them for my daily driver, you can slam the hell out of the front and back, and I think it gives a great road feel, and responsive handling. I knew a dude that had a set of megan coils on his DC5 and he loved them. I never drove it, so I'm not sure how they handled compared to the Tein, but I like what I have. And aren't going to be changing them for something anytime soon. One day I'm going to upgrade to some Tanabe RSX suspension, but that's way down the road.

i have tein basics and i love them. sure, i could have spent more money on way better setups, but this is my daily driver. if it was my track car, than that's a whole diff. story. fyi basics are not junk....

Re: To Everyone W/Full Coilovers READ PLEASE HELP

basics are nice. i think everyone is just refering to the 'tien is overrated' deal. which i think it is. they are good no doubt though. i have a few friends that roll with megans on their 240s and integras and they love them..

Re: To Everyone W/Full Coilovers READ PLEASE HELP

get the eibach's over the basics .. i jus baught them and they look fukin nice. I mean tein is good .. but they are soft as hell and in the end jus a marketting product cuz its "JDM YOOOOO" ... if u want actual performance, tein is way too soft and u should consider maybe the eibachs since they specialize strictly in suspension and racing

^^ You can adjust them, if you set them to the hardest and think they are too soft then wow.

imo tein is great stuff. theres a reason why they cost more. I have flex and if basics are built even half as well as flex they're an amazing product.
