OK this is for everyone with full coilovers..So since i cant be happy with the drops of just springs i think im just gonna get full coilovers but wanted to see what u guys thought.. I was looking at the tein basics or the megans?? And wanted to get some opions... Im looking for a 1 finger gap or half of finger gap on an 02 lx with 205/40/17..This is my DD and will not be raced or drove hard at all as i baby it but am wanting a pretty low stance.....thats why i was considering the megans cause there about 300 dollars cheaper...i know if i was gonna race it or take it to the track i would need something beter than megans...so here my question..Should i go with megans or spend the extra 300 and get tein basics???thanx for all the input..

the basics will be more than enough for a DD man. some people forget that money doesn't grow on trees for most of us. i would avoid the Megans though, unless they're free or have a great discount.
i have megans and i switched wat ever u do don't get them lol .. i baught my eibach's for 985 shipped from nolimit .. cheaper then basics .. and u can find used kw v2s for 8-900 bux as well .. jus because tein is japanese its popular but again all generic crap
well the cheapest i found some new basics for was about 1150 shipped give or take a few..so is this as chaep as im gonna find them??but thanx for all the help and keep it comoin if u have some more
205/40/17 thats not the proper tire size for 7th gen. specially your car is lowered. it should be 215//45/17.
So my question wasnt what was the proper tire size fo a 7th gen.. If i wanted to know that i would of asked... And which rule book says 205/40/17's are not proper size...and there are tons of people running this..maybe not u but whatever
I have the Tein Basics, I don't know why everyone is calling them junk. I found my set for 890 bucks from a shop which isn't around anymore. I love them for my daily driver, you can slam the hell out of the front and back, and I think it gives a great road feel, and responsive handling. I knew a dude that had a set of megan coils on his DC5 and he loved them. I never drove it, so I'm not sure how they handled compared to the Tein, but I like what I have. And aren't going to be changing them for something anytime soon. One day I'm going to upgrade to some Tanabe RSX suspension, but that's way down the road.
i have tein basics and i love them. sure, i could have spent more money on way better setups, but this is my daily driver. if it was my track car, than that's a whole diff. story. fyi basics are not junk....

basics are nice. i think everyone is just refering to the 'tien is overrated' deal. which i think it is. they are good no doubt though. i have a few friends that roll with megans on their 240s and integras and they love them..
get the eibach's over the basics .. i jus baught them and they look fukin nice. I mean tein is good .. but they are soft as hell and in the end jus a marketting product cuz its "JDM YOOOOO" ... if u want actual performance, tein is way too soft and u should consider maybe the eibachs since they specialize strictly in suspension and racing
