Help put in new struts now a big problem

So I put in my new struts. I did have some problems with putting the front passengers side back in place. I turned the car on ( Low power warning) while still on the jacks and the wheels started turning while in neutral. A long with a weird sound I turned it off right away and put it in park. once in park the wheels would spin with my hands pushing them. I thought in park the front wheels should not move. What should I do?

Please help!!

Sorry for being a newbie

Re: Help put in new struts now a big problem

So you've got an automatic. What year Civic are we talking about here. If you put the car into gear, would the wheels move then?

Could be an axle issue, I'm trying to think of what all you could have messed up by replacing the struts.

We might be of more help if you give some more specific information.

Re: Help put in new struts now a big problem

It is a 01 Civic LX.
Lol The sound was I just had the strut bar laying on the towers not connected and it was causing a vibration.
I did just find a washer for the rears.

I do feel like I did something wrong. I just need to figure what. I will try driving it some more to see.

Re: Help put in new struts now a big problem

Took the strut off put on the washer. Now I have some kind of ticking coming from what sounds to be the rear-end. I have checked both struts in the rear. Which is a pia because one of the rear upper mounts has no index mark on the top. I had my neighbor drive it back and forth to try and tell where the poping was coming from but over the intake and the fact that he kept spraying me with the washers thinking it was a shifter. I could not find the sound. I guess I can check the front in the morning. I hate it when my car is not running right.

Any suggestions PLEASE

Thanks
