when the guys at the shop unjacked my car it looked like it was higher than factory springs after installing H techs. When I drove home they dropped to the minimal drop that was advertised. Is this normal? Someone said my bushings probably are broken but my car drives normal. Others say just needed time for the springs to snap into place/settle. The mechanics at the shop didn't seem to know why it was higher than before - so they ordered me S techs.

You do know that this isn't normal, after using lowering springs you should notice an immediate drop, shouldn't be any higher at all. Springs do take time to settle but should already be low. Sounds to me like you ordered different springs for another car, say the RSX. Torn bushings will have no effect on how low the car goes. But turn your wheels to the right and left and look inside the wheel well. You should be able to see if the boot is torn.
TEIN H-Tech springs are similar to the S-Techs, but offer a more comfortable ride and less of a ride height drop. The H-Techs are made from a new material called "Vanadium", which is very light and increases flexibility.
Key Features:
Designed specifically to fit each car for maximum performance.
About a 1 inch drop for a more attractive appearance.
Comfortable ride quality is still maintained by using the OEM bump rubber and noise protection sheet.
well i dont understand why it was really high and then dropped down when i got home. I'll find out tomorrow though.
How much would torn bushings cost to replace?
happens to me every time i lift my car at work on the lifts there, it settles after a few miles, the struts just need time to settle, its perfectly normal.... i wouldnt sweat it
