I can confirm this is normal. I was just at the shop putting in my pro-kits and tokicos. After we set it down i was like...fuck...it looks the same lol. We went and had a couple beers in the office and chilled, then I went home...I noticed a HUGE increase in handling...alignment wasnt even off beleive it or not. Lo and behold, when I pull into sevs to get some aleve, I can now see its about two fingers or a little less. (thought pro-kit was less of a drop?) Enjoy the ride!!

thanks guys, ihave a 4 o clock appointment to install new S techs!
but hey im sort of lucky it looked higher in the beginning or else they wouldnt have changed me S techs! But lets just hoping nothings wrong with my bushings...
and is it normal to hear the springs during driving low speeds?
Man my springs are really squeeking and squacking when i'm driving below 5 mph on my driveway or street. But at 35 and top speeds rides fine...
its probably the back that is squeeking at low speeds and no i don't have a camber kit yet because they told me to drive on the S techs for a week and then come back. I didnt need one for the H techs (.7 and .8 inch drop)
so after they install the S techs today and get an alignment they should be able to tell me if I need a camber kit and new bushings....
everything is fine... they installed the S techs and they were low and settled even more. They didnt mention any torn bushings or anything like that so I'm good?!
u WILL need a camber kit, even for a .7 inch drop, for any drop u will need a camber kit, unless u like buying tires, a lot, it will fuck up ur camber, and there is no adjustment on the rear for our cars from the factory, im only on a 1.5 inch drop, and i needed a camber kit, tires will get noisy, then steel, then bang, blown tires... do urself a favor, get a camber kit, get an alignment, ull thank me, and urself for it. if u get an alignment, then get a camber kit, ull have to repay for the alignment, costing u 50-100 bucks each time(depending on where u go), read the diy on lowering spring install, itll tell u the same thing. what happens when u drop ur car is, the top of the tire starts pointing inward like this / \ , which is what camber is, which wears out the insides of ur tires quicker than normal because the weight is on the inside of the tire, not equally distributed throughout the tire, which would provide even tire wear.... i have had this problem even with a camber kit(hit a curb, which will knock out ur alignment), so please, please, get a camber kit, and save urself a headache.... thanks for reading

believe it or not the h-techs actually cost more than the s-techs. i'm still waiting on my h-techs from showstoppers. had the prokit before the wreck and my wife keeps scraping the underside of my front bumper, so hopefully the h-techs will be a bit higher. we'll see how mine work out. but yeah, i wouldn't trust anyone working on my car. after number accounts of dumbass mechanics forgetting to put bolts and nuts back on i kinda learned my lesson. it's better to diy.
i would love to do it myself but i seriously lack the skills...
but yes, I will get a camber kit this saturday because the shop wanted me to drive 1 week to let the springs settle THEN get the alignment THEN get the camber kit. how much would a camber kit cost btw? Front and back?
oh nice! i have about 400 bucks saved up should camber kit shouldn't be a problem then, and is it pretty universal or is there ones to designed for my car?
And would i need on all 4 wheels or what the mechanics tell me?
i would get it for all four, the fronts arent expensive at all. Granted my friend had a tool to keep the camber in the front zeroed out but you dont know if over time if it will get out of whack from settling. Also, the front kit is very cheap compared to the rear anyways, might as well get both. One less thing to buy if you want to go lower in the future
do they have to remove the tires/wheels when installing the camber kit?
is it normal to hear my springs while driving really slowly? I tend to drive really slowly in the alley because there are kids playing back there, and i notice/hear my springs, its nothing major but i do notice it. i cant really describe it, i dont want to say its a squeeking noise because its not.
