You do not need to cut ur bump stops period. Unless you want to be slammed but then why would you buy s techs. So leave them as is.

but bump stops dont effect the ride height! just the rebound of the shocks

the bump stops dont effect the ride height, but they also dont do anything for the shock rebound. It stops the upper mount from slamming into the top of the shock. Its a failsafe that gently stops the travel once you run out of it.
The only thing cutting bumpstops or shortening them would do for you is buy you an extra inch or so of travel. So while they dont effect the ride height, the ride height is the reason that would necessitate the cutting. The lower you go the less travel you have so being able to buy some more is often advantageous.
I dont think S-techs would drop a car far enough that you'll need to cut them, there should be ample travel with those springs.

alright...so then i really dont need to. i guess it would be a lot of trouble to take apart the strut to cut the stop if its unnecessary.

in simple terms then protect from the shock hitting the uppermounts if then compress all the way. and like boiler said cutting them makes room for more travel. at the same time it's less cushioning if they "bottom out". but for s-techs...... thats far from slamming so it dont matter. you probably dont even need to run bump stops for the stechs...... but please, do run them.
