Stupid question

Hey, I am new with suspension and I was wondering. How do you know if your shocks are blown? Any weird sounds to listen for? To remove this ad, register today for free or log in if already registered!

Plus your car will bounce a lot. The shock helps dampen the action of the springs and if the shocks are gone then the car will bounce up and down freely.

Maybe they are so far gone and the springs have sagged so bad that you are setting on the bump stops.

It sounds like the wheel is gonna fall off, and the housing is typically covered in the oil that once was in the shock.

look at the brakes.
Suspensions make noise on bumps, brakes make noise when you stop.

thanks, I'll check it out. I figured it could have been the drums in the back. Maybe i should think about doing a rear disc conversion huh?

I cant believe your penis made it into this tread.

For the disc.. its going to cost you some bucks (maybe 500 or more), and its probably not a good investment unless you got some more power that you'll be needing to stop (boost or swap).

Well I'm going to boost for sure soon, but since my drums are messed up I might as well upgrade.
