okay i have a 2002 Em2 coupe and for suspension i only have skunk 2 coilovers on and my car bounces alot and doesnt really ride stiff at all.....where as my brothers car (01 integra) has the same coilovers on stock shocks like i do with the addition of traction bars and his rides so much stiffer and can take turns so much faster than mine can i would think the traction bars were the difference maker but even when he didnt have them it handled way stiffer than mine. Also his car doesnt bounce when he hits bumps either.
I dont get it i would assume that my shocks are just blown and his arent but he had that setup on his car for about 2 years already where mine was not even a year yet. If anyone has any idea why this is please let me know

The spring rates may be different from the two coilovers. I've heard that the skunk2 coilovers are extremely stiff so stiff that you're probably just bouncing on your struts and the springs are not compressing if that makes sense. I would assume since the integra is more of a performance car that you brothers factory shocks can handle the coilovers better than our 7th gen. You might want to invest in some aftermarket shocks to get the feel you're looking for. BTW I've heard very negative reviews of skunk2 for the 7th gen civic, not so much for other generations but ours mostly.

"I know Solo only comes one minute at a time, but what an intense, non-stop, fast-forward car control exercise minute it is. Sure, the velocity is higher in road racing, but inside the car it is slow-motion in comparison. In Solo, the turns come like machine-gun rounds. "

yea i guess that could be it. What do u suggest i do just get performance shocks or just dumb the whole skunk2 coilvers
New shocks like Konis will run you like 500-600 and they should handle the skunk2's. If that's worth it to you then do that. Otherwise save up and get full coilovers.. tein ss/basic, ksport, megan...etc... Tokico blue and some mildly drop springs will give you a great ride too and good performance and that can be as cheap as 400-500 for shocks and springs.. much nicer ride than the skunk2. It all depends on what your goals are.
after that, it would be time to look at what your alignment looks like, how low you have the car set at (this car doesnt react too well to being lowered more then 1.5 inches or so) and whats the cars oversteer/understeer balance.... and most importantly, how you as a driver are approching these turns.

Yea i was going to go with Koni shocks but do they work good with the skunk2 coilovers for just get out of coilovers and go springs or another set of coilovers.
One way or another you need a good set of dampers, what spring you tie them in with is really doesnt matter nearly as much. Handling wise, A good set of dampers will contribute more towards your cars handling then springs will.
