What's parts needed to be replaced after you hit 100,000 miles?

Just wondering what parts or maintenance did you have to perform after driving over 100K.

Also list the mileage at which you replaced it at.

Also post your current miles. (No need to add Oil changes, tires, brakes etc..)

I bought my car two and a half years ago and it already had 140,000 on it.

So far I've had to replace...

Alternator @ 146,813

Shocks @ 194,015

Current miles 195,575

Top thing on that list should be the timing belt. On average, 7th gens seem to be able to go about 134k, most don't really have trouble with it.

I know you did the shocks, how about the springs?

Can't think of too much else. I'm just hitting 107k myself, but that's what I've done in the past year.

I haven't done my springs yet. (maybe i should) It seems to drive and handle a lot better after replacing the shocks. I will be doing my timing belt once i hit 200,000. I have 197,000 on it now.

I would make this your #1 priority, if the belt breaks you will need a lot more.

Trust me I know.... I've had many friends wait too long and blew up their motor. Its a cheap part to replace but expensive to have done. And there is no way on checking if it needs to be replaced.

The t-belt alone, you can check. See if its frayed or cracked, if its frayed then it means its nearly there but if has crevices in them, you better replace it ASAP! There should be 2 or 3 more belts that you should check as well. I had owned mine since it was brand new at the dealership in 04, with 10 miles on the odometer. 146k, belt is just frayed, did a coolant exchange 3 times already, replaced the battery twice, replaced the A/T fluid with synthetic type twice but never had a tune up (But its going to this year). I had never replaced the shocks but will this year, along with a new set of tanabe df210 springs (currently have the old ones on). Hope this gives you an idea.

If you think a good mechanic is expensive, try hiring a bad one

Just do the required periodic maintenance, and fix whatever else breaks or wears out.

That pretty much covers everything.

The timing belt (and major maintenance) is called for at 110k miles.

Then it looks like I'm long over due. But thanks for the info though.
