yeah crutchfield ones are the best. they have the best sized pocket ive seen. I hate the ones that you cant get your fingers into they even cut your knuckles. plus if you buy a radio from them...they're free along with the wiring harness.

Re: Where did you get your radio dash kit?

there are basically 2 kinds you can go with. there is the one that about 99% of guys go with. the thing i hate about it is the pocket. ive seen a lot of guys with them and its a small ugly crappy pocket that stays open (which bugged the shit out of me since you can always see extra junk you put in there) and its annoying to clean out. fitment is good. its this one here:

http://cgi.ebay.com/HONDA-CIVIC-01-0...d=p3286.c0.m14

theres also this one, which took me FOREVER to find. its the one i have in my car and i love it. it fits around the new deck like the one above, but has no ugly bottom part. you keep your stock pocket with the little door on it so thats nice. fitment is also good. its this one:

this one has a wiring harness if you need it

this one doesnt

Re: Where did you get your radio dash kit?

so i can keep the stock kit but simply use this plate and not have to replace the whole kit without loosing the pocket?

Re: Where did you get your radio dash kit?

exactly.

your factory deck takes up the entire space...but when you put an aftermarket deck in, all you really need is the trim around it. thats what that piece is. you dont even touch the factory pocket at all. all you do is remove your factory deck and install the new one with this one there. its a nice clean fit, you get to keep the pocket which is WAY better than any aftermarket one.
