I have a dc sports scs exhaust, its damn loud. I want something as close to stock as possible, thats not stock. looking at these two:

1) RS*R Exmag
2) Apexi WS2

Re: quiet exhaust

In terms of decibels between the 2 it's very unnoticable...but the RSR costs like 150-200 bux more. Go with the WS2, but the RSR is more pimp IMO b/c less people own it. But if you really wanna be pimp track down a Mugen twinloop and custom fab it, but that's another story....

Re: quiet exhaust

My Tanabe Medallion touring cat-back exhaust is really quiet. The people I work with say that they can barely hear it when I leave work. It only gets loud when you floor it. But its a bit pricey

Re: quiet exhaust

RSX-S 05ī Exhaust. it sounds like honda Sports on EM2s. + you could change the exhaust resonator into a SRS one ore something like that, that you get a bit louder too when it isnīt enough .
A soundfile from my RSX-S Exhaust is in my public profile/ homepage.

What?! I loved my Magnaflow system. It had the perfect sound, and wasn't too quiet or too loud. It was just right. But, 3 tickets later ($462 worth), it was getting to pricey to keep on the car. The laws in Quebec are getting much too strict, so I just put everything back to stock. Mine is for sale if you're interested. I only had it on for about 4 months. It's for a DX/LX Coupe, but I'm sure the muffler shop will not charge you much to modify it.

Re: quiet exhaust

I know this may sound stupid but, I bought my 04 EX and it had a Flowmaster 40 series welded in and it sounds similar to an infiniti G35...

Re: quiet exhaust

If its not stock its going to be loud. Either make it an all track car or all street. Dont rice it out with fart can mufflers or any muffler with a tip larger than 3 inches. Just get a thrush turbo and weld it on, then put on a turndown. That will make it quiet

though this thread is old i decided i had to comment. your statement of "if its not stock its going to be loud" is completely false..... I have the exhaust mentioned above, apexi ws2, and it isnt loud at all. my system goes manifold, cat, midpipe, resonator, then muffler and its slightly louder than stock but definitely not obnoxious one bit. if you rode in my car you wouldnt be able to tell i had an aftermarket exhaust...

Re: quiet exhaust

Despite being about a year late for answering this question, here goes!

I have the Apex'i World Sport 2 ... and it is perfect. It is exactly like stock, maybe a tiny bit louder when you rev it high. No fart can sound here, so it's pretty classy.

Check it out, you won't be disappointed.
