What next?..need comments pls..

Well i recently just got my tein SS and progess camber kit ..although i haven't put on the camber kit yet but i'm going to...however that doesn't have much to do with my question..i was wondering what to do next..i know that going N/A is bogus especially with our d17a2 engines but i really dont mind doing things little by little just so i can learn and gain some experience by installing and seeing what each part does personally..i mean reading it off books, forums and other sites is helpful but i kinda want the first hand thing..makes it easier to realize since of course you see things in a better perspective when you do it yourself... Just wanted to get that out of the way before you guys decide to start flammin on me about wasting my money to go NA...

So back to my question..i have the basic stuff in my car..well not much really but just a Greedy evo2 and a V2 Intake.. my friends bro who installed my coilovers was telling me i could spend like a little under 800..or somewhere around there for a new throttle body and some other stuff...umm ok sorry for my stupidity in cars..(i'm trying to learn it) but vtec controller is basically the ECU right?...or something like it?.. because i was thinking about gettin that too.... I'm not really sure where to start because i want to try and install a camshaft but i dont want to just put it on because i want to see if i could put in a stage 2 or 3 (if possible) but i know for sure (if its possible) that my engine has to be worthy enough to handle a stage 2 or 3...so what could i do guys?..i'm in need of all ur input on this for those of you who know where to go next O_o (btw i'm lookin for engine performance and what not...i'm already plannin on gettin a progress rear sway bar..but not until a little power upgrade)

Just so we're clear here, the thought of going N/A on a D17A* is almost cost-prohibitive. It is possible, yes, but that would take a full-on build, new top end, new bottom end, everything.

But if you've got the I/H/E already and basic suspension mods, there's really nothing else you can do aside from forced induction when you factor in the cost you listed. But, I almost hate to say this, you might want to consider a nitrous oxide system. Nitrous, when done right (wet spray system, upgraded clutch) isn't extremely damaging. If you're planning on building and are willing to step up your routine maintainence, you might want to look into this. A few members on here have done this and would be more than willing to offer their recommendations. Personally, I tend to view nitrous like a hot girl with an STD. I want to hit it, but I'm afraid of the consequences.

Here's some light reading to consider. This install is on a 2001 EX, but the concept's the same.

I completely understand what you mean by this...and i know its going to cost a lot of money...but i figured i'd might as well try it on my civic first before i try it on another car that i hope to get in the future... I'm planning on using this civic as more of an experimental/learning car so i can in the future know what to do when i get another car...

Haha this is true too..its interesting to try...but i dont really want to touch nitrous if i'm gonna be on the streets mainly...even though i'd prolly use it only for track..just the fact that i can use it to my own disgression is tempting to use it whenever i want..so i want to stay away from that...only cuz i dont think i'm ready for that kinda boost lol...

However..besides addin nitrous..and thanks for the input btw...i was lookin more in what kind of throttle boddy or LSU?..or somethin glike that...how should i go about with that kind of stuff...spark plug wires/ the plugs itself and other things like that...will that really help my car?..i really want to add a camshaft to my car too..as i hear we do get a good power gain from it..but from i believe i need to set up my engine so it could handle such power...or something.. anyone else have any opinions on it?
