Question Suggestions needed for sealing between the hood and grill

Hey everyone...I've got an '02 EX sedan and there's way too much salt spray and dirty water getting between the hood and grill this winter. Has anyone tried sealing the gap between there? There's already a rubber seal about 6"-8" there, I guess to protect the alternator, but I'd like to seal the whole length between the hood and grill.

I was thinking of getting some car door weatherstripping and using double sided tape to keep it in place. It can't hurt anything as long as it doesn't come loose, right? I don't think the car will run hotter or anything. I'm just tired of seeing the battery and everything else covered in salt every time I open the hood.

All ideas appreciated...thanks.

Door weatherstripping FTW. I can't say I've ever done this, but there shouldn't been any issue as long as it stays put.

Just make sure you get some decent 3M ds tape otherwise all the salt and road gunk will ruin the adhesive properties of a lesser tape. My .02
