98 civic Code p0340 car wont start

okay so my car wont start up. code p0340 came up

camshaft position sensor A circuit (bank 1 or single sensor). to my knowledge the camshaft sensor is inside the dizzy and i have a new one out it still wont start. i lve got different opinions ppl saying its my crankshaft position senaor in the lower timing belt cover. i just need some clarification on the crank position sensor and the camshaft position sensor

P0340 isn't even in the list of possible codes for a 98, so you might want to find a different code reader and recheck before you pull your hair out chasing ghosts.

Also, aftermarket reman distributors are crap.

youre right just asked couple ppl and they said go use a differemt scan tool is it cause its not a updated scan tool ?

Because cheap is cheap, not all can be expected to be 100% accurate on every make and model under the sun.
They might work good enough most of the time, but you can really waste all kinds of time and money when it's flat out wrong and you don't realize it.

Even high dollar scanners can be buggy and have errors.
