Replaced water pump and belts, now making screeching sound on start up.
Hi guys,
I have a 1994 Civic automatic. I replaced the timing belt, alternator belt, power steering belt and upon starting up, the car make screeching sound very loudly for a good 30 seconds and stop screeching.
After it stops screeching, I drove it around the block. It shifts fine but there is weird sound from the one or all the belts and I think the best description is probably something is pulling it or its working hard to pull something.
I checked the tension of the alternator and power steering belt and they seems good.
The timing belt alignment was right according to the Haynes manual.
Any idea?
Thanks in advance.

If you think a good mechanic is expensive, try hiring a bad one

Alternator belt is too loose.

Thanks for answering. I just took a video and if you can take a look at it, that would be great.

Why haven't you tightened it?
Definitely a belt, most likely alternator.
Belt might be ruined by this point too.

I just needed another person to hold the alternator in place when tighten it.
There seems to be another problem.
There is a grinding sound coming from the front left wheel like the brakes is rubbing against something. I took the wheel off, took out the brakes and it still have plenty left. I checked the passenger side as well and it still has plenty. I put them back in, drove around and the grinding sound still presents. Any idea?

I don't hear anything.
Raise wheel and put trans in neutral.
Spin the wheel: Noise present? Find it.
The thin sheetmetal plate behind the brake rotor got bent and is contacting the rotor?

I got a new alternator belt that is a bit too long (1995 DX). It sometimes squeals a little when I start but engages after I rev it up. The alternator is folded out as far as it will go.
