O2 Sensor removal problems 94 civic...

So I took my car into the shop to get a code check.. asked them to see if i needed a tune up as well.. They charged me 2 hours of labor for them to look... to LOOK at my car. $180 and they did 0 work except check to see if I needed a tune up... ROBBERY Anyways

They told me what I already knew, o2 sensor is returning an error. They said $200 to change it... I bought the part for $30, they said it cost $100. Never going to that shop again.

Anyways I got to working on my car. Bought the new sensor and removed the heat shield infront of the o2 sensor. I got an O2 sensor socket that slips over the wire but the socket must of been spread because no matter what I did it would just slip off the bolt.

Finally cut the wire off the sensor and used a hammer and chisel to smash everything that was infront of the bolt. Now I got a normal 7/8" socket and put a pipe over the ratchet. Applied penetrating oil and lots of heat with map gas. Got the socket on the sensor and reamed it really hard. The bolt snapped off and left a good portion of it in the threads / down in the sensor hole.

Here is an idea of what is still inside the 02 sensor port.

Everything past the red line is still inside the 02 sensor port.

So how the heck do I get the rest out of there?

Do I have to remove the exhaust manifold and do some crazy shenanigans?

Here is what it looks like.

Is it just those 9 bolts holding down the exhaust manifold?

If so I can remove those tomorrow and take a look at whats going on. But I wanted to see if I could get some more ideas about what to do. Also I'm guessing the manifold gasket is going to be bad.... but those are cheap and I can replace it no problem...
I just need some insight on what to do about this broken o2 sensor...

Man your screwed just buy a new/used exhaust manifold. Junkyard or Craigslist is cheapest option. Who ever put the o2 sensor in probably used to much force tightening it.

If you think a good mechanic is expensive, try hiring a bad one

They seize and trash threads occasionally. It happens.
One of the hazards of trying to take apart old stuff.

You could remove the manifold and then work with it on a workbench instead of trying to work with it in the car. Or take it to any machine shop to have the pieces removed. Might be cheaper than getting another one.

Depending where he is but here I seen them go for 10-30 dollars and a t3/t4 log turbo manifolds for 40-60$. A shop is probably gonna charge him more for labor.
