1st - 5th Gen Honda Civic As these Honda Civics get older and older they become harder to find in great condition and less popular to modify. By no means does this make them less of a contender on the track or car audio competition. Don't forget the roots of what made import tuning what it has become today.

Audio: Extreme roof rattling in my 91 wagon/shuttle...

Figured I'd post this here in the 1 to 5 section - maybe increasing the chance a fellow wagoneer or hatch guy would see it.

With my volume not even half way up, my roof starts rattling.

If I turn it all the way up (or close) my phone can flip once maybe twice on the roof in a bounce. Wondering how I can reduce the flex, in turn reducing the amount of sound from my roof.

My roof liner is in perfection condition. It's not soo much the flex I care about, it's just very annoying to listen to.

What did/would you do?

Totally defeats the purpose of me even having them. Also wastes the money I put into them a few years ago.

Looking for a solution to the rattling, and means of being able to enjoy my toy.

I know, with it turned up all the way I can be heard 2-4 blocks away... I'm not even at half way up...

Wait, let me just say, 1 Sony Xplode could rattle it (easily).

I think I found out what it is though, just a matter of disabling it.

There's like the metal roof, a board, then the roof liner.
The board is in between the 2 loose. I have to find a way to mount it, foam it, or something... I think it'll work. That or it'll just rip all that foam apart over time shooting it all over my car.

Btw, know any cheap dynomat off-brands?
