1st - 5th Gen Honda Civic As these Honda Civics get older and older they become harder to find in great condition and less popular to modify. By no means does this make them less of a contender on the track or car audio competition. Don't forget the roots of what made import tuning what it has become today.

94 Civic Engine Swap?

Hi, hope someone can help!

I have a 1994 1.5 Civic Coupe and really want to swap the engine for the 2.2 out of a Prelude. Apart from engine/gearbox and loom, what else am I going to need to swap? Like driveshafts, etc?

Thanks guys!

Re: 94 Civic Engine Swap?

You will need to change the driveshafts, ecu, new engine mounts, probably the rear axel off the prelude as your going to need discs on the back aswell as the front, and maybe the front suspension as the prelude engine will be a lot heavier and than the 1.5
