1st - 5th Gen Honda Civic As these Honda Civics get older and older they become harder to find in great condition and less popular to modify. By no means does this make them less of a contender on the track or car audio competition. Don't forget the roots of what made import tuning what it has become today.

92 civic dx hatch won't start

hi, I have a 92 dx hatch with a d15b7,the car has been sitting a year since I have been in Iraq and I just returned home to find it won't start. yesterday I replaced the fuel relay, and the fuel pump after turning the ignition and not hearing the fuel pump kick on but I am still not getting any fuel to the motor, tested the spark and I don't have any. the motor turns over fine, I have trouble shot it to the best of my knowledge, according to my neighbor I need to check the ignition control module or the ecm. I was wondering if anyone had a illustration as to wher ei might find the ICM, I have a suspicion it is somehwere around the distributor but I have never fooled with one good enough to take it apart to find it. than ks for you guys help To remove this ad, register today for free or log in if already registered!

Re: 92 civic dx hatch won't start

narrowed it down tot he #6 pin on the fuel relay wiring harness...now what that is, and how to fix it I have no idea

edit: no power is reaching the distributor and all fuses check out

first of all, welcome back. Did you check the main relay under the dash? pin 6 should be the batt. voltage.

also, i believe the ICM is located underneath the distributor cap (looking at the Haynes Manual for it, cause i have a 92 civic ex sedan). It seems like your problem is basically somewhere in the distributor maybe?

Re: 92 civic dx hatch won't start

checked the water pump ground, pin 6 has no power going to it, replaced the distributor . while checking I replaced the plugs, fuel filter, and plug wires. still not getting any spark or power to the fuel pump. only lights that are working on the dash are the battery and srs light.
