1st - 5th Gen Honda CivicAs these Honda Civics get older and older they become harder to find in great condition and less popular to modify. By no means does this make them less of a contender on the track or car audio competition. Don't forget the roots of what made import tuning what it has become today.

Ok, so as i have said before, i have a 1992 Sedan (Ex i do beleive) so im running the 1.5 SOHC (d15..something... i think) and i have seriously been considering getting my hands on a B16A Engine, now im looking at around $2600 before shipping, for the full swap from a few different JDM sites, thats uncluding the ECU, and Vtech soleniod, but would the engine really be worth it? i would also be looking at throwing some new pistons, rods, and cams into it for a little more Zip... what do ya think?

a friend of mine as has a 91 and was thinking about the same thing but i guess when he went to order the engine the guy told him that he could just upgrade and polish and actually come out more powerful then if he swapped so he did somehow came out with about 350 hp with room for improvement so you might wanna check out that option
Yeah its def worth it. The question is how much power do you want? if you want over 300hp you might as well just order that engine right now. 200hp with the d15 might be possible if you do it right. but that will be very expensive. also keep looking around, you should be able to find the motor you want for a lil less.
hey i have a 96 civic ex i did a b16 swap bout 6months ago .it would be a better deal then you buying the motor , cause then you need mounts and torch mounts and axle and ecu jumper harness so you should check mine out if your interested. im selling it cause i need a truck. 3500 obo
All depends on if you want to look at the back of my car and admire the exhaust fumes... or look at my side door and admire the paintwork.
The B16 is a healthy swap, especially if your looking for more go down the road. However swapping can get a little messy as it's never 'just a motor'... as others have said... imagine, axles... mounts... exhaust work...etc etc
