1st - 5th Gen Honda Civic As these Honda Civics get older and older they become harder to find in great condition and less popular to modify. By no means does this make them less of a contender on the track or car audio competition. Don't forget the roots of what made import tuning what it has become today.

89 DX hatchback How do you switch to MPFI?

Hello all, i'm relatively new to the civic, and this is the first civic i have ever owned, it an 89 DX hatchback with the D15B2, i noticed that SKunk 2 makes an intake for these engines, but you have to convert to MPFI, and i am unaware even after searching how you do this conversion. Now i'm not looking for acheiving a 12 second car or even anything close to that, i'd just like to acheive some better performance and to make the car a little more fun to drive.

my ideas of ALL upgrades are
the skunk2 manifold,
MPFI conversion,
header, exhuast
Crower 10.5:1 pistons
for engine.

for body, it's already custom painted as that's how i received the car but i'd liek to go with a CF hood and the Extreme Dimensions FEELZ 8 peice body ( always was a sucker for flared out fenders, why i own an 86 Conquest TSi)

now as i said, i'm just lookign for some minor performance gain to make it more fun, without impacting gas mileage too severely. i love having around 40 MPG.

For the most part that will show you what to do and how to do it, if you want a more detailed version of the switch go to club civic they have a solid FAQ on how to do this swap. Running a 12 while still getting 40Mpg is gonna be a hard feat to accomplish, you can't have the best of both worlds haha
