1st - 5th Gen Honda Civic As these Honda Civics get older and older they become harder to find in great condition and less popular to modify. By no means does this make them less of a contender on the track or car audio competition. Don't forget the roots of what made import tuning what it has become today.

1994 Honda Civic 1.6L (D16Z6) died while driving...

I was on the interstate about to make a turn off into a side road, I was stopped when it happened...it just completely died. Wouldn't start or anything. The battery and starter were fine as I could hear the engine wanting to start, but it wouldn't completely turn over and start up...

I gave it a complete tune-up recently (plugs, wires, fuel/air filter, cap & rotor. I checked to make sure all these were fine, didn't see any problems..) All electrical inside seems to be fine when the key is at the "On" position. No CE light codes or anything.

Now I have not even the slightest clue as to what it could be. All my belts (alternator, power steering, etc.) appear to be fine. What the world could it be? I had it towed to a shop and will be awaiting a phone call tomorrow but I'm just wondering what are the possibilities...

I was wondering what had happened to you car. I had the same exact problem in my 91 Civic Hatchback. My guess was the alternator so Im going to try to remove it. But if you have have any suggestions, please let me know.
