1st - 5th Gen Honda Civic As these Honda Civics get older and older they become harder to find in great condition and less popular to modify. By no means does this make them less of a contender on the track or car audio competition. Don't forget the roots of what made import tuning what it has become today.

Leaking Distributor

I have an 89 LX with the 1.5 and I believe the distributor seals are leaking. Oil on trans and reach under the distributor and you find some on your finger. Its not real bad just annoying. So what does it involve to change those or whatever is there that maybe leaking? Car only has 80K so i know its not an issue with the head journals. Are the parts available at Auto Zone? Any help would be great since gonna be working on it sun. To remove this ad, register today for free or log in if already registered!

Re: Leaking Distributor

very common problem. if u take the distributor off theres an oring on it. it's proably cracked and needs to be replaced. mine was so stiff it snaped when i bent it to get it off.

dont wory u can only put the dizzy on one way. it has an offset key that can only be put on one way. pritty much fool proof.
