1st - 5th Gen Honda Civic As these Honda Civics get older and older they become harder to find in great condition and less popular to modify. By no means does this make them less of a contender on the track or car audio competition. Don't forget the roots of what made import tuning what it has become today.

1986 Civic Si Head Gasket

Hi,
I am new to this forum. I just bought an '86 Civic Si as a daily driver. It looks like it needs a new head gasket. Has anyone done this job or is there a write up that I could follow?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Chuck

Re: 1986 Civic Si Head Gasket

Nope, sorry- not for that year. Your best bet is to earch the internet for a downloadable copy of a service manual for your car, or go out to napa or whatever and buy the hayes manual, or similar. You can also search this site for a headgasket swap and apply the same process to your generation. Its basically the same deal.
