1st - 5th Gen Honda Civic As these Honda Civics get older and older they become harder to find in great condition and less popular to modify. By no means does this make them less of a contender on the track or car audio competition. Don't forget the roots of what made import tuning what it has become today.

Angry 95 civic engine swap

i just recently did a poor mans overhaul on my stock d15b7. Its suckin water almost like a blown headgasket. so im thinking the head is cracked or the block is cracked. What other engines would be an easy swap and what would it involve. And if at all possible could i get a swap list with the engine suggestions.
Thanks

Re: 95 civic engine swap

i too have a 95 civic. im currently researching an h22a swap. you can typically find a complete swap for around $2300. thats motor and tranny. 200hp and 10.6:1 compression and already installed lsd. you will have to buy mounts, axles, thinner radiator and do a little wiring. search h22a civic swap and you can find more tips parts lists and wiring diagrams.

B18B1...comes in any LS, RS, GS from 94-01....great motor and you can find a full swap for around $1000.....more power than you will get from any D series...and the best block of the b series if you plan to turbo
