1st - 5th Gen Honda Civic As these Honda Civics get older and older they become harder to find in great condition and less popular to modify. By no means does this make them less of a contender on the track or car audio competition. Don't forget the roots of what made import tuning what it has become today.

Re: Whats the best intake!!!

AEM V2 is the best bet... the filters are made of sum crazy material that doesnt give in to motor heat... a couple of my friends have had several other intakes and the filter heats up which demeans the purpose of cold air induction.. definately V2...

Re: Whats the best intake!!!

I'm thinking about getting the AEM SRI because that way I don't have to worry about hydrolocking my engine. I've heard numerous nightmares about that.

Re: Whats the best intake!!!

I don't have an intake yet, but how harmful are the general intakes ranging from $30-$60 on ebay?

Also What is the main purpose of intake? just Increase in Horsepower? Or there's more to it? And what about the sound?

Re: Whats the best intake!!!

its mostly for sound. if you get ebay intake, it doesnt always fit right so you may need to customize it a bit to make sure everything tight and fits properly. then you need a new filter like AEM dryflow cause the one it comes with sucks.
