1995 Civic LX Battery Connection

1st - 5th Gen Honda Civic As these Honda Civics get older and older they become harder to find in great condition and less popular to modify. By no means does this make them less of a contender on the track or car audio competition. Don't forget the roots of what made import tuning what it has become today.

1995 Civic LX Battery Connection

I have no idea if this thread is appropriate here, if not I can move it.

I have a 1994 Honda civic sedan and took out the battery a few weeks ago and left it like that. I had to replace a fusible link, and I got that done with yesterday.

Came into another problem with the wiring...I don't know where one of them goes.

It's a small black 18G with blue tip wire. I already have the Positive hooked up with two other wires; one of them is a yellow 12G with a 20amp fuse in it, the other is a black 18G with a 5amp fuse in it - both of these seem to be connected to one wire end terminal which hooks up to the Positive of the battery.

Then there is the other black 18G with no fuse in which I am wondering where it goes. Obviously, not to the the negative....right? Please help, I don't know much about car's electrical, and I spent an hour online trying to hunt down stock (not souped up) pics of a civic's battery compartment to imitate it.

O My manual and Chilton's don't have any useful info.

you really have to know where the wires go to in order to figure out what the are needed to be hooked up to

Re: 1995 Civic LX Battery Connection

How long is the black wire ?? Can you trace it far back ?? Does it go into a loom or connect to the chassis or engine/tranny ?

Do you own an Ohm meter or 12 volt test light ??
