`80 civic 1500 diesels (runs on) after shut off

1st - 5th Gen Honda Civic As these Honda Civics get older and older they become harder to find in great condition and less popular to modify. By no means does this make them less of a contender on the track or car audio competition. Don't forget the roots of what made import tuning what it has become today.

my 1500 keeps running after i shut it off , have to let clutch out to kill motor , any suggestions ? i have tried everything in the book , thanks

sounds like a bad ignition switch/coil

no, diesels keep running after u cut the ignition if the fuel doesnt shut off, they are self sustaining. u basically have to starve it for air or fuel before it will die, its what he is referring to i believe

yeah, civics used to be available as diesel.....also 4WD too!
