1st - 5th Gen Honda Civic As these Honda Civics get older and older they become harder to find in great condition and less popular to modify. By no means does this make them less of a contender on the track or car audio competition. Don't forget the roots of what made import tuning what it has become today.

yeah i checked out hasport... 600 bills for the mounts... and sorry i'm not selling it man... hahaha it feels good to know that i'm the only one in my city driving around in it!! i've been to all the junkyards here to get parts for it and nothing in any of them... i found a junkyard in Albuquerque NM that has the car and everything was there except the corner lights!! kind of made me feel unique to have to drive 4 hours to get parts for my car...

they are rare. i love em! if i find one in good condition im gonna pick it up as a daily. i just think a 3rd gen with a nasty b series motor in it would be hot! on honda-tech there was a guy in austrailia who put a k20a in one. now thats some custom fab lol

88 mounts are different then 86 different body style your best bet is sell the car or buy the hasport ones

Sorry let me rephrase that... I found engine mounts to swap from the D15 engine to either a B16 or B18....but I haven't tried them yet as for not having the other engine yet....

okay change of plans... i heard a B18 would fit under my hood and from my understanding with a few bolt ons it would run just as well as a B16 with more torque...anyone know if this holds truth? and if so what bolt ons would i need? i already figured an ls tranny is in order that's just a requirement for everything to run smoothly... hahaha

which b18? are u talking about just putting an ls in there? cause honestly man itll be an improment over whatever motor the 86 has. its still not gonna be much. not if your talking about a b18c1 (gsr) yeah thats a hell of an improment. but then the nightmare beings with wiring it up. honestly the best bet would be stick with a b16 and just get an obd0 motor. mainly because your car is an obd0 car

See here's where I need help also, I have the mounts but don't know what motor to get/use. My car now has a d15a2 DPFI motor that runs a whopping 90HP. My frfiend said to get a B18 GS-R motor because they run something like 116HP stock, But if I could get somethingsmaller with the same HP it would be a better choice in the long run as in LIGHTER for a 1/4 mile run.... Am I right or just misunderstanding it all.....I have yet to do much to ANY Honda except for a CAI, exhaust, and car audio. This is the first one I actually own so help me out.....I know about V8's and about the '96 Neon that I built up to run 270HP but I never have done an engine swap.....

i was wondering about that, i knew the non si is carburated (spelling?) but i wasnt sure about the SI. like i said stick with an obd0 motor. but if money isnt a problem im sure you could talk to hasport about doing your harness. i know when i get around to doing my k swap im having either hasport of hondata do mine simply b/c of my lack of knowledge on wiring harnesses and i dont wanna mess it up. but sir i do commend you on picking one of the rarer platforms of honda. you should get in touch with me man via AIM im sure we could find loads to talk about and id like to be updated on the swap so hit me up
