Question Re-Wiring Primary O2 Sensor to ECU

I have a 2000 Civic with an EX wire harness, but has a DX (Y7) ECU / Engine.

I need to get emissions done on this car, but the previous owner cut the connection for the Primary Oxygen Sensor on the manifold.

I have spent some time trying to find the existing wires in the harness but can not locate them. (you can imagine there are alot of extra wires/connections because it was original an auto/vtec now manual Y7.

The manual says im looking for;
WHT - PHO2S (sensor signal)
GRN/BLK - SG2 (Sensor Ground)
BLK/YEL - Heater Element Power
BLK/WHT - Heater Element Ground

I found a GRN/BLK cut off the main harness. But not the others... What are my option to get this O2 Sensor connected? Can i run a wire straight to the ECU and find other power/ground ?

Im lost any help would be appreciated.

Re: Re-Wiring Primary O2 Sensor to ECU

Is that the only code it's throwing?
You going to have to start peeling back the tape and wire covers to find those wires...
Or find the correct harness for the car and change it over

Re: Re-Wiring Primary O2 Sensor to ECU

it doesn't throw any codes It will not set the rediness codes at all!?

the wire harness that's on there has the same wires for the O2 Sensor... if they were there

I did start peeling back some, but didn't go all the way to the firewall. It started getting dark.

Re: Re-Wiring Primary O2 Sensor to ECU

Ok so is the primary connected to anything?
The secondary is hooked up?
And the readiness code just stays as "not ready"?
If you're set on peeling, you going to need a well lit garage, underhood light, or devote like a sunday to it.

Are you in ontario?

Re: Re-Wiring Primary O2 Sensor to ECU

The sensor has the cut end or the harness does?

I'm not sure what Pittsburgh needs for emissions, but I know up here you can get away with having 2 systems as "not ready"

Re: Re-Wiring Primary O2 Sensor to ECU

ok, I think the wires for that might pop out near the distributor, but I could be wrong.
Been a while since I've looked at a y8 bay
