Rep Power: 0 Differences and reliability between all years of the 6th gen civic?
Im in the processing of looking for a used civic. I always heard that all civics 96-00 are almost the same and reliable , but I wanted see the differences in each year.
Which is the most reliable year of this gen?
Is the engine better for 99 and 00 civics than 96-98?
Which is the worst year of this gen?

I honestly can't speak for any other Civic, but I've had a 98 Civic DX hatchback since 2005. It now has 186K on it and it is still going strong. I'd buy this car again in a heartbeat, if I were back in the same situation again. The engine has had almost no work on it apart from maintenance--an o ring link, nothing more on my spreadsheet. And that is from 80,000 miles to 186,500 miles.
