2000 Honda Civic Ex engine shopping
Hi!!!
I would really appreciate any input, and help I can get when buying a new engine for my car. My engine gave out so it's time for a new one.
I was searching and have come up with wanting to buy JDM over USDM. I am looking online everywhere where they can have a D16y8 engine, yet alot of places keep giving me a Zc VTEC version which has 1.5L compared to my D16y8 1.6L
Any ideas of where I can go where they will give me exactly what I want. In all I just want my same engine but from Japan.
Thanks for all the help! =)

D16A? Is JDM I think...

I'm not sure why you'd want it though?

if you're not looking to upgrade then why do you want an engine from japan?
with the shipping fees, eco fee, bull **** fee, it will cost more than a local scrap yard.

Hey thanks for the input, I did my research and I would prefer a JDM engine due to the miles it has, with all the shipping and handling fees I am paying the same as a USDM engine with 338,000 miles.
BTW the reason for wanting an engine, is because my engine gave out. I don't plan to modify my engine, I just want the same d16y8 engine with obviously less miles.

If you think a good mechanic is expensive, try hiring a bad one

I have to agree with others, why go through the hassle if you are not doing a swap?
I would get a remanufactured long block, a block from a salvage yard, or I would upgrade with a JDM swap.
