Rep Power: 0 IAC Vale and Misfire problems - '00 with D15B swap
I previously posted this in 5th Gen but i think it should be here.
**1st post**
I got this car back in October, it drove great until December. I started having problems with high idle, within the week it went from a high idle to a fluctuating idle (800-2000rpm). That weekend i checked the codes and all it said was a misfire cylinder #1, i replaced the wires, plugs, rotor and cap, and #1 injector. The problem did not go away, then is started throwing the IACV code. I cleaned the IACV, didnt help so i replaced it.
--Even with a brand new Denso IACV(same as i took off the car) it is still throwing the IACV code and having the fluctuating idle.
~Is there anything special i needed to do when replacing?
--With the new plugs, wires, cap and rotor, fuel filter, injector in #1 - I am still haveing the misfire problem, i have done a compression check and all cylinders are at 170.
~ Could the IACV problem be fooling the computer to thinking its a misfire?
~ Can the misfire be causing the IACV problem?
~ Maybe the valves sticking?
~Maybe the distributor?
Im kinda lost at this point!
** second post **
