Hello-
I have a 2000 Honda Civic Ex and recently noticed that it sometimes shakes when I am at say a stop light. Does not happen all of the time. Just once in a while and usually after I have been driving for a while.
It makes me nervous because it just seems like my car will die out. When I press the gas, it is fine and stops shaking.
Any ideas?

Can you be specific? What kind of shakes? The steering wheel? The whole car? Does this happen when the car is in gear or not in gear? What about when you're braking? Turning? Is the clutch engaged? Does your trunk have a murder victim in it? Be more specific, please

The whole car shakes. My car is an automatic so it happens when it is in drive. Doesn't happen as I am breaking. Starts when I am fully stopped and gets worse if I am stopped for a while. It goes away once I step on the gas.
Couldn't be the murder victim. Took him out months ago

Even if it doesnt fix it its a great maintenance step and also another major issue you can eliminate. Also usually the cheapest fix so a good place to start If it continues I can lead you other directions but hopefully that resolves your problem!

Does it shake worse when you put it in drive at the lights, compared to neutral?
What rpm is your needle at when you stop at the lights?
Could just require adjustment (increase) of the idle speed.
