Transmission problem 99 ex coupe

Hi I'm new to the civic forums but I have a 99 civic ex when I Start the car and let it warm up and put it in reverse and drive in my automatic is slams and you hear a loud clunk drive won't work unless it's in d2 and reverse works fine. Also the Rpms stopped the same time this started acting up if someone could tell me the reason behind this it will be well appreciated FYI the transmission has fluid and didn't leak any

No blown fuses and as for the fault codes Im not sure my cel is on due to o2 sensor but I'm afraid to drive it to autozone and have it break down

Any NEW fault codes? Know anyone with a code reader?

If the light is already on all the time it's tough to know if something NEW pops up.

Re: Transmission problem 99 ex coupe

So I brought the car to get the codes check I have code P0141
P0135 P1298 P0450 P0453
P1768 P1753. My guess is that it my be the shift Solenoid. Or the ecu. Car won't shift at all I have to drive it in d2

Re: Transmission problem 99 ex coupe

Check fuse #15 in the dash fusebox.
That might cover many codes at once, many items share the same fuse....

Read this bulletin PDF about the blown fuse: http://www.tegger.com/hondafaq/misc/96-99_civic_mil%26fuse15/99-029_tsb_blown%2315_fuse.pdf

P1768
Problem in clutch pressure control solenoid valve circuit
P1753
Problem in TCC valve A circuit

I'll guess wiring problems for these two, and might be related to the other codes and bulletin posted above.

OTOH, mice can do some fantastic damage to wiring in a hurry.

A good service manual and volt-ohm meter might go a long way toward finding the correct answers.
