Rep Power: 0 civic clunks after tie rod replacement
I replaced the inner and outer tie rods in my 99 civic hx w/ 206,000 miles. After that I noticed every time I brake or turn the steering wheel, I can hear "clunks" from time to time from the front end. So I figured it was probably due to the cheap eBay parts. So I bought new inner and outer tied rods from advance auto parts and installed those. The car still "clunks" from front end when I hit brakes or turn the steering wheel. It's driving me nuts, what could it be? It wasn't making any noises before the inner and outer tie rods replacement. Also the steering wheel begins to shake at 60+ mph and gets worse around 70-80mph. thanks

problem fixed!!
turns out the front subframe bolts were a little loose. tightened them back up and the clunking is gone!!
so if anyone have any clunking issues, make sure all the subframe bolts are tight
